1) The driver has to be 25 years of age or more, present a passport or other valid identification and a valid driver´s license. The same applies for additional drivers.
2) To rent the vehicle it is necessary to have an international credit card for payment. We accept American Express, Diners Club, Master Card and Visa.
3) Our insurance is mandatory and is subject to a deductible which varies depending on the category of the vehicle rented. This deductible is the amount that the renter will be responsible for in case of accident, robbery or total loss.
a) Is not covered by insurance, any accident caused by intoxication, speeding, recklessness, negligence, such as the case of damage to the vehicle without having collided with another vehicle, crash into trees, poles, etc.
b) Theft in part by the amount of the theft amounting to the value of the deductible.
c) Damage to the vehicle parts or accessories.
d) Damage to the interior.
e) Damage to the exterior by loading, unloading or transportation of persons, goods or
machinery.
f) Damage to the engine, gearbox, suspension, front, rear, shocks, rims, tires and other mechanical parts of the vehicle
4) Minimum deposit is the estimated rental charges plus 50% of the deductible depending on the vehicle´s category.
5) Cancellation policy: If renter does not cancel his reservation 48 hours prior to pick-up, a day´s rental penalty will apply.
6) Our rates are daily, weekly and monthly. Minimum rental time is one day (24 hours). If the vehicle is returned five hours after pick-up time, an extra day will be charged.
7) If renter wants to take the car out of the country a letter of authorization to cross the border will be necessary with a cost of US$25.00 plus 12% sales tax. 8) When renter wants to return the car at a location different from the location where he originally rent it, a drop-off charge applies. This charge varies as follows: Quetzaltenango and Coban US$75.00plus 60% of a day´s rental, plus sales tax. For Flores, Peten, US$125.00 plus 60% of a day´s rental, plus sales tax. It is possible to return the car at other locations and the drop-off charge will vary depending on the location selected.
9) Legal and on the road assistance for the driver in case of accident or failure of the vehicle rented is included in our rates.
10) Company drivers are available in case the renter does not want to drive. This service has a cost of US$25.00 plus sales tax daily for 10 hours. Extra hours have an additional cost of US$2.50 plus sales tax. Driver´s meals have a cost of UD$5.00 plus sales tax per meal daily and hotel accommodations US$20.00 daily plus sales tax daily.
11) Child seats are available at a cost of US$2.00 plus sales tax daily.
